Double Dads and One Queer Teen (2019)
Double Dads and One Queer Teen is a short documentary about a multicultural, gender-nonconforming family. The two fathers—one from Taiwan and one from suburban Chicago—met in 1995 and later built a life partnership, welcoming a child through surrogacy in 2003 with help from a family member. Now a teenager who identifies as pansexual, the child’s story is shared alongside their parents’ perspectives. The film offers an intimate portrait of a family shaped by love, identity, and connection.
